Job summary

THE BISON GROUP LLC in Millington, TN seeks an experienced Network Administrator to manage and secure enterprise network infrastructure. You will implement VLANs, ACLs, and port assignments, upgrade IOS on routers and switches, and perform technology refresh projects to maintain operations across remote sites.

You’ll draft SOPs, resolve incidents, and support security hardening by applying STIGs. The role requires IAT II, CCNA, TS/SCI with CI poly, and familiarity with Cisco/Juniper devices and

Qualifications

• IAT II and CCNA required or equivalent experience.
• U.S. TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper devices and multisite networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols and VPN/802.1x basics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct network changes incl. VLANs, ACLs, and port assignments.
• Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
• Upgrade routing/switching equipment to keep operations running.
• Draft SOPs for network operations and incident handling.
• Resolve network failures and accessibility issues across services.
• Support site surveys, engineering data calls, and new deployments.
• Perform root cause analyses and incident resolution.
• Review and implement STIGs to strengthen security.

Description

In this role, the Network Administrator will be responsible for:

• Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLan, ACL and port assignment.
• Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
• Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
• Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
• Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
• Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
• Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
• Works independently with some supervision.
• In remote locations must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations.
• Problems faced are difficult, will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
• Perform Network ticket resolution.
• Support Network ticket closure across Network Operations staff to include:
• Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, and Cryptographic devices.
• Uses administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, problems and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems.
• Routing Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.
• Performs root cause analyses.
• Completes problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s)
• Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Requirements

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• IAT II
• CCNA
• TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly
• Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
• Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x).
• In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
• Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
