Job description

This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team.

This position will report into the Sr. IT Manager

What you get to do every day:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network appliances and security platforms, including Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA/IOS, Palo Alto firewalls, and Meraki SD-WAN.
• Maintain and optimize AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), routing, security groups, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Implement automation for network provisioning and configuration using Ansible.
• Monitor and analyze network performance to ensure high availability and security.
• Manage network documentation, diagrams, and inventory across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement policies, firewalls, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Assist with system-level tasks such as Linux/Windows server configuration, DNS, DHCP, and identity management.
• Use Bitbucket for version control and collaboration on infrastructure-as-code projects.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in networking and cloud security.

What you bring to the role:

• 3+ years of experience in network administration or engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with Fortinet, Cisco (ASA/IOS), Palo Alto, and Meraki devices.
• Proficient in AWS networking services (VPCs, Route Tables, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Strong scripting/automation experience using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Working knowledge of source control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with basic system administration (Linux/Unix or Windows Server).
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or higher certification (CCNP, PCNSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking) is a plus.
