Job summary

STM Associates has a role for a Network Administrator II in Farmington, New Mexico. This is an onsite position, and relocation assistance is available for candidates who are willing to relocate to the area.

The role provides mid-level administration, support, and enhancement of the enterprise network infrastructure, with duties spanning troubleshooting, design, upgrades, and documentation under senior staff guidance.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is required.
• 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Working knowledge of routing, switching, firewall administration, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or comparable vendors.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, WLAN, remote access, and network security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and connectivity across multiple sites.
• Assist with the design, implementation, and upgrade of network systems, circuits, and services under the guidance of senior staff.
• Support redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies for network services.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring and logging tools; review and analyze logs as required.
• Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and change records.
• Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot network circuits, hardware, and services.
