Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to support Army enterprise networks and contribute to enterprise IT operations.

You will provide mid‑level administration, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting in a 24/7/365 environment. You will assist with incident response, maintain boundary security devices, and ensure compliance with DoW/Army cybersecurity policies while collaborating with Theater Signal Commands, DISA, RCCs, and NECs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in related field (e.g. Information Technology or Cybersecurity)
  • 1+ years of related experience in network administration or support
  • Experience supporting DoWIN Army or DoW networking environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of Layer 3 routing fundamentals (OSPF, BGP basics, VRRP/HSRP)
  • Experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF processes, ACAS, and Army cybersecurity compliance
  • DoW8140 certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • Network certification such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent, preferred
  • Security Clearance Active Top Secret/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI
  • Ability to support global maintenance windows and after-hours operational needs
  • Ideal candidate brings solid technical knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to support mission-critical systems in a fast-paced operational setting
  • Ability to work onsite or hybrid based on mission requirements
  • Ability to operate effectively in a 24/7 mission-critical environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Provides mid-level administration, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of critical network infrastructure that supports the Army Enterprise Network and JRSS environments.
  • Assists with incident response, maintains boundary security devices, applies DoW/Army cybersecurity policies, and collaborates with mission partners such as Theater Signal Commands, DISA, RCCs, and NECs.
  • Contributes to managing routers, firewalls, load balancers, and related network services while supporting automation initiatives, documentation updates, and compliance with enterprise security requirements.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

Supports the stability, security, and efficient operation of Army enterprise network environments within the NETCOM Global Management Team (GMT). The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
