Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking a Network Administrator for a full-time role in Dahlgren, VA. The position focuses on analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining LAN/WAN and SIPR/NIPR networks to ensure reliable operations.

The candidate will provide on-call support, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain 99.7% network availability while adhering to DoD/DISA standards and security protocols. 3–5 years of experience and TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operations and maintenance or contractor support.
• Familiarity with classified information handling and security processes.
• Clearance: U.S. Citizen and TS/SCI or TS/SCI eligible.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Sec+); CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate LAN/WAN and Internet systems.
• Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate with minimal interruption.
• Provide on-call support for critical network infrastructure 24/7/365.
• Respond within 30 minutes and begin restoral actions within 2 hours of a reported failure.
• Maintain network availability of 99.7%.
• Follow DISA STIGs, DoDM 8140.03, AFMAN 17-1301, and AFI 17-130 guidance.
• Monitor and maintain network hardware (Cisco/Juniper routers, switches).
• Plan and test installation and configuration of network equipment.
• Establish firewall rules and consult PPSM for secure connections.
