Network Administrator | 466700

Location: 100% Remote • Position Type: 6M C2H • Hourly / Salary: to $60W2

Vaco is currently seeking a Network Administrator for a 6M C2H opportunity that is 100% remote. The Network Administrator will install, configure, and maintain the network infrastructure, including OnPrem and Cloud Environments (Azure). The Network Administrator will ensure network reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install / Configure / Maintain Network Hardware / Software / Azure Cloud Components - Firewalls / Routers / Switches / VPNs / vWAN / Firmware Updates / Cabling, etc.
• Perform Routine Backups / System Updates / Patching / Upgrades - Maintaining Network Integrity / Security
• Monitor Network Performance / System Alerts / Security Logs - Identifying Gaps / Resolving Potential Issues Proactively
• Diagnose / Resolve Network Problems - Alerted by Users / Automated Monitoring Systems
• Maintain Accurate Documentation of Network Configurations / Procedures / Activities - Compliance / Troubleshooting

Job Requirements

• Network Administrator (2+ years) - Azure Cloud / Firewalls / Routers / Switches / VPN / vWAN / Firmware | Installing / Configuring / Maintaining Network Infrastructure
• Network Protocols - TCP/IP / LAN/WAN / VPN
• Azure Networking - vWAN / VPN Gateways / NSGs
• Network Security - Firewalls / IDS/IPS / Network Security Best Practices
• Network Troubleshooting / Configuration (hands-on) with Appropriate Documentation

Preferred (not required)

• Cloud Networking / Hybrid Environment Experience - Integration with OnPrem Routers / Switches for Hybrid Connectivity (ExpressRoute / Site-to-Site VPN)
• Automation Scripting (knowledge) - PowerShell / Python
• Network Monitoring Tools / SIEM Platforms (familiarity)
