Job summary

CompuOne Corporation seeks a Network Administrator to own enterprise-level network design, implementation, and ongoing support at client sites in Illinois. This full-time, in-office position focuses on performance, security, and scalability of complex networks.

You will manage switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure, while supporting Microsoft 365 apps and Windows Server AD. Local travel to client locations is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of network administration and IT infrastructure experience.
• Expertise in switching, routing, and firewall management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments including Office 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 end-user support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Design, implement, and support scalable network infrastructure across client sites.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, security, and availability.
• Administer Windows Server environments and Office 365 configurations.
• Travel to client sites locally as needed; mileage reimbursement provided.

CompuOne Corporation - a full-service managed IT services provider headquartered in San Diego - is seeking a Network Administrator to join our Illinois technical team. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in designing, managing, and securing advanced network environments across multiple client sites.

What You'll Do:

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users via phone, email, remote tools, and ticketing system.
• Lead the design, implementation, and support of scalable network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, etc.).
• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office desktop apps.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, business applications, and antivirus tools.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and security using industry best practices.
• Provide network troubleshooting, including connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, escalating and coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Oversee system audits, documentation, and disaster recovery planning.
• Serve as a technical lead on network projects and mentor junior team members.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Travel to client sites locally as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).

What You Bring to the Table:

• 2 + years of experience in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
• Proven expertise in switching, routing, and firewall management.
• Advanced knowledge of network security practices and access controls.
• Strong command of Microsoft environments, including Office 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure).
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified preferred.
• Experience working in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment is a plus.
