Job summary

Systems Technology Forum is seeking a Network Administrator to support NIWC Pacific for the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet. The role requires a Secret clearance and involves ensuring seamless communication and data flow across organizations and partners.

On-call/emergency work is possible, but travel is not required. The candidate will design, implement, and maintain networks, support a virtual environment, and provide technical training to military and civilian IT personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) years of experience.
• Experience designing, installing, operating, and maintaining networks.
• Experience implementing and supporting a virtual environment (VMware, NetApp).
• Proficient in ASA, ISE, VOIP, STIG, IAVA, Comply-to-connect, Nessus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise as the resident Network Administrator for NIWC Pacific.
• Identify network and system enhancements and develop/execute project plans.
• Provide training and guidance to military and civilian IT personnel.
• Oversee IT tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
• Research approved hardware, request quotes, and prepare procurement documentation.
• Plan and coordinate new devices and technologies installations for foreign partners.

Job Summary

Provides Network Administrative service support to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in support of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT).

Travel is not required. On call/emergency work required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provides technical expertise and direct support as the resident Network Administrator responsible for seamless communication and data flow across organizations and partners. Identifies possible network and system enhancements and develops/executes project plans as directed. Provides primary technical continuity and provides in-depth technical training and guidance to the military and civilian IT personnel. This includes oversight of IT-specific tasks (management and dissemination of IT duties, ensuring work is completed on time, monitoring the status and progress of IT tasks, and providing progress of IT taskers). Researches approved hardware, interfaces with vendors, requests quotes, and provides documentation for procurement to include ITPRs. Researches, plans, and coordinates new devices and technologies installation for foreign partners.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least three (3) years of experience. Must haveexperience designing, installing, operating, and maintaining networks. Must have at least three (3) years of experience implementing and supporting a virtual environment (VMWARE, NETAPP, etc.).

Must be proficient in ASA (Adaptive Security Appliances), ISE (Identity Services Engine), VOIP, STIG, IAVA, Comply-to-connect, Nessus
