Job summary

Addison Group in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Network Administrator to maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure. You will administer day-to-day operations, monitor performance, and support upgrades, with on‑call rotations and occasional after‑hours support.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 3–5+ years in enterprise networks, Cisco routing/switching experience, VLANs, OSPF/EIGRP, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and Azure networking. CCNA preferred; CCNP or higher is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Technology/Network Engineering.
  • 3–5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience managing Cisco-based routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of switching technologies: VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, QoS.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP; BGP a plus.
  • Experience with network security: ACLs, NAT/PAT, IPSec VPNs.
  • Familiarity with DNS/DHCP and enterprise network services.
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise networking environments (LAN, WAN, wireless, remote connectivity).
  • Monitor network performance and respond to issues to maximize uptime.
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, and connectivity across locations.
  • Implement approved network changes per change management procedures.
  • Maintain network security controls (firewalls, VPNs, access policies).
  • Assist with hardware installations and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Evaluate network utilization and performance trends for optimization.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
  • Support hybrid/cloud networking, including Azure services.
  • Assist with VoIP and unified communications administration.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and service requests.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours with participation in an on‑call rotation and occasional after‑hours support as needed.

Job Description: The Network Administrator will be responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of enterprise network systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support enterprise networking environments, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and remote connectivity solutions.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to operational issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, and connectivity problems across multiple locations and systems.
  • Implement approved network changes in accordance with established change management procedures.
  • Maintain and support network security controls, including firewall rules, VPN connections, and access management policies.
  • Assist with hardware installations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Evaluate network utilization and performance trends to help optimize capacity and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational processes.
  • Support hybrid and cloud‑connected network environments, including Azure‑based networking services.
  • Assist with VoIP and unified communications infrastructure administration and troubleshooting.
  • Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and coordinate service requests.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and on‑call support rotations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience managing Cisco‑based routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of switching technologies, including VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, and QoS.
  • Working knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP; BGP experience is a plus.
