Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Network Admin on site at Fort Bragg to install, operate, and maintain network infrastructure for the customer site. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security compliance while collaborating with multiple teams.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification, and 3+ years of related experience.

HOW A NETWORK ADMIN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer systems and networks
• Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
• Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
• Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts
• Develops and enhances processes and technical documentation, creates back-up procedures, test plans, and reports

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

• Associate degree preferred

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of related experience

Security Clearance Level:

• TS/SCI

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology
• Security + or equivalent DoD 8570 certification required
• Requires a good working knowledge of network administration and information systems
• Must closely follow network protocols and methodology

Preferred Skills:

• MCSA or CCNA or equivalent experience
• Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve problems
• Can effectively deliver training
• Has good consulting skills
