Job summary

Luminous Tec LLC in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Network Administrator for a 6+ month assignment focused on Microsoft product environments. You will deploy, configure, and maintain PC/server operating systems, ensure security, and support the rollout of new technologies.

The role requires VMware experience, OS migration work from older servers to newer versions, and strong TCP/IP knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is expected, with solid problem solving and teamwork skills.

Job Description

Role: Network Administrator

Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440

Duration: 6+ months

Project work will revolve around Microsoft product(s).

• Microsoft Certification is a plus
• Candidate should have Migrating OS exp as will be working on End Of Life Project
• VMware experience Needed
• Exp upgrading servers from 03 to 08 needed

Responsible for deploying the release of new technologies as well as the design, installation, configuration, maintenance and system integration testing performance of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware.

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
• Controls user access and passwords.
• Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
• Monitors usage and performance.
• Trains personnel on system usage.
• Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
• Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
• Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services, and maintains a secure systems environment.
• Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
