Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Network Administrator to support 24/7/365 operations in Wiesbaden, Germany for the U.S. Army Europe EMITS Program Team. The role includes night/weekend/holiday coverage and ongoing network support.

You will monitor data traffic, troubleshoot issues, and manage Active Directory for user accounts. A Technical degree or certification and 2+ years of networking experience are required, along with a Secret clearance and IAT II compliance.

Qualifications

As a Network Administrator (Shift) to support 24/7/365 operations in Wiesbaden, Germany supporting U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS Program Team.

This position is part of a shift work schedule which includes coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Network Administrator is responsible for providing ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks.

• Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.

• Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.

• Performs Active Directory administration to build and maintain user accounts, process account request paperwork, and manage user access.

• Develops and enhances processes and technical documentation, creates back-up procedures, test plans, and reports.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

• Experience: 2+ years of recent, hands‑on networking experience

• Technical skills: Skills:Hands‑on networking experience in one or more (Cisco, Junos, NSX‑T); Experience with Cisco Unified Communications is a plus

• Security clearance level: Secret Security Clearance

• US citizenship required

• Must pass German TESA

• Role requirements: Must be IAT Level II Compliant (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent certification); At least a Cisco Certified Support Technician CCST certification

German TESA requirements:

• A bachelors degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

• An associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

• A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

• 11 years of recent specialized experience.
