Job summary

Phoenix Defense, LLC is seeking a Computer Technician to install, maintain and repair computers and networks in an on-site role across multiple locations. You will ensure IT infrastructure is reliable and used to its maximum capabilities, and provide user training and timely support.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience as a Computer Systems Technologist, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook/Office.

• 3-5 years' experience as Computer Systems Technologist.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with basic computer systems including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications and be able to work with a computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and be adaptable in a high paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid USAREUR driver's license and Post driving privileges.
• Must be able to obtain a valid Blue Card, VISA/Work Permit as required by German Law.
• Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support.
• Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED.

• As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions.
• Ability to work diligently and accurately and possess a great problem-solving ability to fix issues and ensure functionality.
• Ability to install and maintain high quality networks and computer systems.
• Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
• Maintain and repair technological equipment or peripheral devices
• Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
• Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies
• Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years' experience as a Computer Systems Technologist
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

• Technical accreditation's e.g. Microsoft MCSA / Cisco CCNA / etc.
• Experience working within an IT customer support environment, preferably within the education sector.
• Experience of working with AV equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
• Proven experience as computer technician or similar role
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
