Vertiv (ERS / HVM) is seeking a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) to lead acceptance, commissioning, and high-voltage testing projects. The role requires up to 75% regional and national travel and offers competitive pay and benefits.

You will mentor technicians, generate engineering reports, and ensure compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, and OSHA. A comprehensive package includes a signing bonus up to $10,000, a company vehicle, and per diem.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification required, active and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficient with test equipment listed (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.

• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards
