Shermco is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and data-collect on low to high voltage electrical systems at client sites. Travel locally/regionally is required with occasional overnight stays; strong safety and documentation practices are essential.
Qualifications include 2+ years of switchgear testing, EPC/EE degrees, and NETA certification preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be fluent in English.
Skills:Field Service Test Technicians travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (480 Volt to 600 kV) electrical systems. Instrument transformer tests Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc. Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relays Cable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing Moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. Rotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner
