The OA-IT General Government Delivery Center is looking for a senior applications developer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex web-based software applications.
The individual selected for this role will be responsible for the following:
- Working with the project team to analyze and interpret user requirements and propose solutions.
- Leading the development effort.
- Experience with HTML and style sheets as it relates to accessibility functionality and compliance.
- Designing and programming user interface, business layer, database layer and reporting components to meet user requirements.
- Proposing database designs for approval by the database administrators.
- Assisting with data migration from existing databases.
- Using the Visual Studio development platform.
- Following various established coding and database standards.
- Using Azure DevOps for source code control, managing work items, managing testing activities and documentation versioning.
- Estimating time required for development to fulfill requirements.
- Reporting status of work to the project manager.
- Conducting adequate unit and regression testing for all developed code and resolving any bugs.
- Presenting complex technical constructs to non-technical users.
- Documenting, mentoring, and providing knowledge transfer to IT staff as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
