Job description

An experienced software developer to join our team and play a key role in both the support and development of critical software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, .NET Core, Web API, unit testing, and Angular. Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, and Kubernetes is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

1. Legacy System Support: Provide support and maintenance for a legacy ASP.NET product. This includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, and implementing updates or enhancements as needed.
2. New Solution Development: Contribute to the development of a new software solution. This includes writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C#, .NET Core, Web API, and Angular.
3. Refactoring: Identify opportunities for code refactoring and improvements related to performance, maintainability, and readability.
4. Unit Testing: Write and maintain unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.
5. Documentation: Create and maintain Markdown documentation describing the system, services, and processes. This includes documenting code, APIs, and other technical aspects of the software.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and other team members to ensure successful delivery of products.
7. Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve development practices and enhance the overall quality of the software.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or working experience.
2. Proven individual experience in software development with strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, Web API, Angular, source control (Git, GitHub).
3. Familiarity with legacy ASP.NET systems and the ability to provide support and maintenance.
4. Ability to write code, discuss its pros/cons, propose alternative solutions, and refactor as needed.
5. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Experience with modern development concepts, frameworks, and tools.
7. Experience with macOS and JetBrains Rider is beneficial.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
