Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to join our Financial Services unit in Richardson, TX. You will contribute to requirements, design discussions, and coding efforts across banking, wealth management, and insurance projects.

The role emphasizes delivering stable software, code reviews, and robust testing strategies. You will work with SQL Server, EF Core, and NoSQL options like MongoDB, and may leverage Dynatrace for performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# and .NET 6+.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core MVC or Web API.
• Proficiency in SQL Server including stored procedures, functions, views, and query optimization.
• Experience with EF Core.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.
• Working knowledge of application performance monitoring with Dynatrace.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to elicitation of business requirements and document assigned parts accordingly.
• Facilitate software design discussions and document decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features into existing applications while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain the codebase and repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to ensure quality.
• Develop user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for new applications.
• Help resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain thorough records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Strong experience with C# and .NET 6 or above.

• Experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core).

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of Dynatrace for application performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
