Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill a .Net Developer (Web & Desktop Support) role in Buffalo, NY. This is a 9-18 month hybrid contract with Lighthouse as the W2 employer.

No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered. The role requires leading development for web and desktop applications, APIs, and data integration using SSIS/SQL, while mentoring peers and coordinating delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of systems analysis and development experience with C# .NET (Web, Desktop, and API) and VB.NET.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Proficiency in SSIS ETL, SQL, and data integration.
• Experience with GitLab or similar version control and collaborative workflows.
• Track record mentoring and leading development teams and delivering with quality.

Responsibilities

Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their .Net Developer (Web & Desktop Support) position! This is a 9-18 month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead complex systems analysis, design, and development efforts for web and desktop applications using C# .NET, VB.NET, and Angular frameworks
• Design and develop Web Applications, Desktop Applications, and Web APIs while evaluating complex interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms
• Build and maintain SSIS (ETL) packages and manage data integration workflows to support business operations and reporting needs
• Direct and mentor less experienced development resources, coordinating development tasks and monitoring performance on projects of varying scope and complexity
• Prepare and manage the technical components of project plans, including effort estimates, timelines, and resource allocation while driving project milestones and delivery dates
• Collaborate with operations staff, technology teams, and business stakeholders to provide technical direction from analysis through user acceptance testing
• Develop and maintain thorough technical and functional specifications, system documentation, and execute detailed test plans with required debugging
• Recommend new technologies, policies, and processes to improve application efficiency and address organizational deficiencies
• Maintain expert working knowledge of supported applications, development environments, and GitLab version control while promoting development standards and best practices
• Coordinate between application teams and business units to implement system solutions that meet short-term business goals and long-term strategic objectives

What You'll Need to Have:

• 6+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with proven expertise in C# .NET (Web, Desktop, and API development) and VB.NET
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, and modern web development frameworks
• Solid proficiency with SSIS (ETL) for data integration and SQL for database development and optimization
• Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems and collaborative development workflows
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
• Demonstrated mentoring and leadership capabilities with experience directing and coordinating development teams
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and lateral thinking skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Cloud/Azure experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn additional technologies including Automic, Python, Terraform, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, Jira/Zephyr, and ServiceNow

Pay Range: $70-80+/hr
