Job summary

cyberThink is seeking a .NET Developer with AI expertise for a 6-month contract in Austin, TX (Hybrid). You will design and modernize enterprise apps using .NET, cloud-native tech, and AI-assisted development. Lead with Gen AI tools, CI/CD, and distributed systems to deliver resilient services.

The role requires 5+ years in .NET, strong Kafka and cloud experience (GCP/AWS), and proficiency with Agile tools. Equal opportunity employer and hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing scalable .NET applications, web services, or cloud-based enterprise solutions.
• Strong expertise in .NET, Kafka, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-performance application development.
• 4+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-native applications using GCP, AWS, PCF, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, JSON/XML, caching technologies, observability, resiliency patterns, and performance tuning.
• 2+ years of experience working with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, or other relational and NoSQL platforms.
• Practical experience with AI/ML implementations, Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar), and AI-assisted software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants throughout the SDLC.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; financial services or high-volume transaction processing experience is preferred.

Job Description:

As a
.NET Developer w/ AI, you will develop and modernize high-volume, low-latency, and highly resilient enterprise applications using .NET, cloud-native technologies, event-driven architectures, and AI-assisted development practices. This role combines strong software engineering expertise with Generative AI, distributed systems, and modern cloud platforms to deliver scalable solutions that support mission-critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, resilient, and event-driven applications using .NET, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures.
• Build and modernize high-volume services, APIs, and distributed applications supporting mission-critical workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Leverage Generative AI tools and coding assistants to accelerate development, testing, automation, and documentation activities.
• Implement agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using containers, microservices, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Support modernization initiatives involving distributed systems, event-driven platforms, and modern data architectures.
• Strengthen application quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, performance analysis, resiliency validation, and production support activities.
• Promote engineering best practices, responsible AI adoption, and continuous improvement within development teams.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
