Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. is seeking a .Net Architect to work onsite in Tallahassee, FL on a 12+ month contract. The role requires 100% client-site work with no remote option, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities include designing end-to-end .NET architectures, guiding modernization efforts, and leading development teams. Onsite work, relocation may be needed, with extensive enterprise systems experience and SCRUM familiarity.

Qualifications

• Experience across IT areas with senior-level architecture work.
• Strong .NET and API design experience required.
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps tooling and cloud resources.

Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end architectures in the .NET ecosystem.
• Lead remediation of enterprise apps and improve code quality.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to dev teams.
• Use SonarQube and replace legacy UI components.
• Assess systems and guide modernization to .NET platform.
• Support CI/CD integration and deployment strategies.
• Produce architectural diagrams and ADRs; participate in reviews.

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Temporary Project

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions

Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non‑negotiable requirement from the client.

Required:

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience in IT across multiple areas (7+ years);
• Experience with application architecture (2-3 years);
• Experience with architecture, application systems design, and integration at an advanced to expert level, specifically .NET;
• Experience with Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and API design and integration patterns;
• Experience with web application development and front-end frameworks/JavaScript libraries (Angular, React, Vue, etc.);
• Experience with Azure DevOps tools such as App Insights, Key Vault, and Blob Storage;
• Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, and Entity Relationship Diagrams;
• Experience with data access optimization, performance tuning, scalability, reliability and fault tolerance, and logging, monitoring, and observability;
• Experience with the SCRUM framework and financial systems such as an ERP.

Preferred:

• Experience with C# and ASP.NET Core;
• Experience with WebAPIs (RESTful services);
• Experience with Entity Framework and other ORM frameworks;
• Experience with .NET Framework and modern .NET (.NET 6+);
• Experience with Microsoft Azure;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end application architectures using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including solution patterns, reference architectures, and design standards;
• Serve as primary technical architect for remediation of enterprise applications, improving code quality, addressing security vulnerabilities, and strengthening .NET infrastructure;
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership to development teams, including review of code, pull requests, and design artifacts for architectural compliance;
• Use code scanning tools such as SonarQube to enhance code quality and release readiness, and replace legacy UI components (AngularJS, Kendo UI);
• Assess existing systems and guide modernization and migrations (legacy JCL/COBOL/FOCUS to .NET), prioritizing technical debt remediation;
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies;
• Produce and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and architecture decision records (ADRs), and participate in architecture reviews.
