Job summary

QE Solar seeks a Director to lead enterprise-wide NERC compliance strategy, governance, and regulatory risk management across solar, BESS, and DER operations. You will serve as executive owner of NERC CIP and O&P programs, coordinating with Operations, Cybersecurity, IT, Legal, Risk, and regulators to ensure audit readiness and scalable programs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in NERC compliance, cybersecurity compliance, regulatory affairs, or electric utility operations.
• 5+ years leading enterprise compliance programs and managing teams.
• Experience leading during NERC/FERC audits.
• Experience with CIP environments (Medium/High impact).
• Experience developing compliance strategy, budgets, and roadmaps.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute QE Solar’s long-term NERC compliance strategy.
• Serve as executive owner of NERC CIP, O&P, and reliability programs.
• Advise leadership on regulatory risk and strategic investments.
• Present compliance metrics and mitigation plans to leadership and board.
• Lead annual compliance budgeting and resource planning.
• Establish governance structures for CIP-002 to CIP-014.
• Oversee policies, standards, controls, and monitoring.
• Lead audit strategy and regulatory responses with regulators.
• Build and lead a high-performing compliance organization.
• Design scalable architectures for growth in solar, BESS, and DER operations.
