Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Staff Nurse to implement the philosophies, objectives, standards of care, and policies and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care and functioning as a charge nurse according to the Nurse Manager's expectation for an assigned shift.

Nephrology is a 19-bed adult unit. The staff provides total nursing care to renal patients as well as general medical

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with NC State Board, or Compact License recognized by NC Board.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others.
• Professional role model for others.
• Care appropriate to the age of patients on the unit.
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
• Deliver outstanding customer service aligned with CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the assigned shift.
• Serve as charge nurse according to Nurse Manager's expectations.
• Care for nephrology and general medical patients on the unit.

Education

NCBON approved nursing program

Current NC RN license

AHA BLS certification
