Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Levels 2-3) for the Nephrology unit on a part-time days schedule. The 22-bed Medicine Nephrology Unit operates within a collaborative care model focusing on renal disease, dialysis, and related acute care needs.

RN II operates under supervision providing nursing care across a range of patients, advancing to RN III with 5+ years. Licensing: OK RN and BLS required; specialty certs preferred.

Qualifications

• RN II requires 3–5 years of patient care experience.
• RN III requires 5+ years of patient care experience.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or compact license (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to interventions and updates physician orders.
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions as prescribed.
• Delivers patient care and seeks coaching to improve proficiency.
