Qualifications

• Completion of Medical School and Internal Medicine residency.
• BC/BE Nephrology.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Tennessee medical license or IMLC membership.
• Clean DEA and professional record.

Responsibilities

• Cover 1 hospital in the Knoxville area.
• Join a group of 3 nephrologists.
• Group covers 6 dialysis clinics in the area.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient renal care (AKI/CKD, dialysis, transplant follow-up).
• 24/7 on-call support with in-house hospitalist for admissions.

PRACTICE

• Call 1 out of 5 and every 5th weekend; Friday includes weekend call
• Join 3 Nephrologists
• Cover 1 Hospital
• Group goes to 6 dialysis clinics throughout the area
• Hospitalist on call in-house to assist 24/7 with admissions
• Hospital employed opportunity with tremendous support
• Pathway to partnership and medical directorship
• The group provides all aspects of renal care including inpatient and outpatient, AKI/CKD care, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, CRRT, and pre and post follow-up kidney transplant patients.

HOSPITAL

• 450 licensed beds
• 72 critical care beds (including Cardiovascular ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU and Neuro-ICU, most with tele-ICU capability)
• 17 surgery suites
• 5 cath labs inside award-winning Heart Center
