KIDNEY CARE CENTER OF GEORGIA, LLC is hiring a BACK OFFICE Medical Assistant to support our nephrology practice in multiple Georgia locations including Cumming and Gainesville. The ideal candidate has an accredited MA program, acute care experience, strong computer skills, and excellent patient communication.

Responsibilities include vitals, scheduling, medication reviews, EMR messaging (EPIC), documentation, prior authorizations, and occasional transcription at dialysis centers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Demonstrates communication skills.
• Demonstrates literacy in using computers and keyboarding.
• Skills in problem-solving, setting priorities, and using good judgment for decisions.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
• Current National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)
• At least four years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining Vitals and patient rooming
• Medication Review and Refill Requests
• Appointment & Test Scheduling
• Answering Clinical line calls and documenting appropriately
• Responding to Patient Messages via our EMR system (EPIC)
• Patient Scheduling
• Some transcription while at dialysis units
• Prior Authorizations for Medications via Cover My Meds
