Job summary

Liberty Language Services seeks freelance Nepali interpreters to provide on-site interpretation for healthcare clients in the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland area. This is a freelance position with workload that fluctuates based on client needs, offering flexible hours and control over your schedule.

Requirements include valid U.S. work authorization, residency in the DC/NoVA/MD area, willingness to travel to client sites, and completion of a 40-hour Medical Interpreter

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Willingness to undergo Background check.
• Willingness to undergo drug screening.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion or intention to complete a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course from a reputable institution.
• Oral Language Proficiency Test in English and target language(s).

We are currently hiring on-site Nepali interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services for our clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas.

Please Note: This is a freelance opportunity, not a full-time or part-time position. Your workload will vary based on client needs, offering you the flexibility to choose when and how much you work.

• Valid U.S. work authorization
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area
• Willingness to travel to client locations
• Willingness to undergo Background check
• Willingness to undergo drug screening
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion or intention to complete the following:
• A 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course (certificate from a reputable institution required)
• An Oral Language Proficiency Test in both English and your target language(s)
