Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Neonatology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Michigan. Start ASAP with a schedule spanning July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2027, including day and night coverage in 7–14 day blocks.

The position is in a Level Three NICU with a specialized SCN, handling high-risk deliveries and complex neonatal care. The role requires board certification in Neonatology, NR P advanced provider/instructor status, and Michigan licensure.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Neonatology required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) advanced provider or instructor status.
• Neonatal Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for neonatal ICU patients in Level Three NICU and SCN.
• Manage high-risk deliveries including cesarean sections and ventilation.
• Perform neonatal procedures such as chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and umbilical line placements.

Neonatology Physician

StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $291.00 - $315.00

This facility is seeking Neonatology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2027, approximately 9 weeks of day coverage and 9 weeks of night coverage in 7 to 14 day blocks

Practice Setting: Level Three neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery

Types of Cases: Neonatal intensive care, high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, ventilation management, neonatal resuscitation, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheter placement, umbilical venous catheterization, umbilical artery catheterization, peripherally inserted central catheter placement

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days or more

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Board Certification in Neonatology, Neonatal Resuscitation Program advanced provider or instructor status, Neonatal Advanced Life Support preferred

Licensure Required: Active Michigan medical license
