Job summary

Children's National Medical Center is seeking a clinical associate physician for the Neonatology division. The role focuses on hospital and clinic patient care, with opportunities for advocacy and educational initiatives as determined by leadership.

The position requires an MD from an accredited medical school, full medical licensure, and board certification or eligibility in the primary specialty. An emphasis on ethics, safety, and quality care is evident throughout the role.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school; required.
• Fully licensed attending physician on CNMC medical staff.
• Board certification or eligibility in primary practice specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for patients at Children's Hospital and approved sites in an ethical, professional and timely manner.
• Provide oversight of the medical care team and manage direct patient care for a specified patient population; improve continuity of care and partnerships with community providers.
• Provide on-call services as determined by the division leadership.
• Actively participate in family centered care and communicate professionally with patients, families and the care team.
