A national healthcare provider is seeking a Neonatologist for their Level III NICU in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care for critically ill newborns. Qualifications

  • Must be board certified in pediatrics with fellowship training in neonatal medicine.
  • Licensed to practice in Ohio.
  • Must be license-eligible/able to obtain Ohio medical license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Attend deliveries and manage critically ill newborns.
  • Ensure ongoing family-centered care and communication.
  • Deliver prenatal consultations, attend deliveries, and manage premature/critically ill newborns.
  • Provide family-centered care and coordinate Maternal-Fetal Medicine services for high-risk pregnancies.

Responsibilities
  • Riverside Methodist Hospital has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • The NICU is operated in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, bringing their neonatal expertise into Riverside Methodist
  • The unit has 42 beds and serves as the referral hub for the OhioHealth system, caring for approximately 650 infants per year
  • Care is provided by 16 board‑certified/eligible neonatologists and a multidisciplinary team, available 24/7
  • Services include:
    • Prenatal consultations
    • Delivery room attendance
    • Management of premature and critically ill newborns
    • Ongoing family‑centered care and communication
    • Maternal‑Fetal Medicine services are available for high‑risk pregnancies, including advanced diagnostics like fetal echocardiography and blood transfusions
