Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neonatal Special Care Nursery, an eight-bed level II NICU. You will provide culturally sensitive nursing care to neonates using ANA standards, NJ regulations, and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will pursue required certifications within the first year and contribute to quality improvement and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in NICU or Special Care Nursery required.
• Current NJ RN License required.
• CPR Certification to be achieved within the first year and maintained thereafter.
• CSMC IV Certification to be achieved within the first year and maintained thereafter.
• NRP Certification to be achieved within the first year and maintained thereafter.
• Specialty professional nursing certification preferred.
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides culturally sensitive nursing care to assigned neonatal patients.
• Administers medications following policies and manufacturer instructions.
• Documents care plans, nursing diagnoses, and patient progress.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Participates in unit conferences to discuss quality issues and quality improvement strategies.
• Mentors students and new staff while promoting teamwork.
