Emerson Health in Massachusetts seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for our Neonatal/Level II Nursery. You will deliver specialized newborn care during high-risk deliveries and throughout their stay, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for babies and families.

The role requires Massachusetts RN license, BLS and NRP certifications within specified timelines, and prior neonatal experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's preferred).
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Previous neonatal or special care nursery experience strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort with computer systems and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care to newborns requiring special monitoring and interventions.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries, providing immediate assessment and stabilization of neonates.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for newborns and their families.
• Educate and support families through the emotional journey of special care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care.
• Document all findings, interventions, and outcomes clearly and accurately.
• Cross-cover Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery units as needed.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to professional growth through preceptorship.
• Stay current with continuing education, certifications, and evolving neonatal best practices.
