Job summary

Bryan Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a Medical/Surgical setting, including neonate care. You will communicate with physicians and leadership, respond rapidly to changes, and perform general nursing duties with supervision.

You will assess and revise care plans with the team, educate patients and families, document care, and participate in department projects while upholding core values and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Maintains clinical competency including age-specific skills and mandatory education.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration per patient condition.
• Knowledge of ventilators and neonate monitoring per protocols.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software relevant to work tasks.
• Able to assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills.
• Able to perform head-to-toe neonate assessments and reassess per policy.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Capable of crucial conversations with desired outcomes.
• Maintains good working relationships across all levels of staff.
• Able to problem solve and exercise independent thinking.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Prioritizes workload and maintains regular, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Initiates neonate assessment and reassessment per procedures.
• Collaborates with physician to plan and revise care based on response.
• Integrates care standards into the plan based on diagnosis and needs.
• Treats patients and families with respect, addressing cultural and spiritual needs.
• Executes therapeutic and supportive interventions.
• Provides education to patient and family according to learning readiness.
• Evaluates patient response and progress toward outcomes.
• Documents care per KRMC procedures.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and acts as liaison with admin, physicians, and staff.
• Assists physicians with Emergency Department procedures and participates in meetings and projects.
