Job summary

Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Towson, MD is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our Pediatric Respiratory Care Department. You will assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary issues, administer therapies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a world-class academic setting.

We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem roles, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and opportunities for growth. NBRC-registered RRT required with BLS CPR; associates degree in Respiratory Care preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Care required or equivalent.
• NBRC RRT registration required by NBRC.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• New grads and experienced RCPs encouraged to apply for neonatal/pediatric respiratory care or ECMO.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assesses and recommends interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
• Administers diverse therapies (medical gas, humidity, aerosol, hyperinflation, bronchial hygiene).
• Manages invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams to implement tailored multidisciplinary care plans and provides emergency care as needed.

Who Should Apply?

• Graduates of an accredited Associates Degree program in Respiratory Care.
• Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required.
• BLS CPR certification is required.
• New grads and experienced RCPs are encouraged to apply.RCPs interested in or experienced in Neonatal/pediatric respiratory care or ECMO.

Work Experience:

Professional Background:

Entry-level to advanced position with demonstrated and documented clinical and operational systems competency in a comparable RCS division.

Salary Range:

Minimum 34.62/hour - Maximum 57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
