Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from a Registered Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current RN license with the MN Board of Nursing, in good standing.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota.
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Three years’ experience in a NICU required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary caregiver to newborn infants in the nursery and birth center.
• Assess, diagnose, and carry out procedures for newborn infants.
• Develop treatment plans for infants with complex health issues.
• Prescribe medication on your own authority and with agreement from pediatric physicians.
• Promote a positive culture within the work environment.

Education

Master’s degree in nursing from a Registered Nurse Practitioner program

Current RN license with the MN Board of Nursing

Neonatal Resuscitation Program(NRP) certification

BLS Certifications (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
