Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio seeks a casual/PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage at Mount Carmel East. The NNP delivers neonatal primary or acute care per scope and standards while aligning with organizational mission.

Selected candidate will cover 12-24-hour shifts, maintain BLS/NRP/COA, and bring leadership and teaching abilities to the NICU team. Ohio license and NCC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing; Preferred Masters Degree; Graduate of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio; Holds Certificate of Authority for Advanced Practice Nursing in Ohio; NCC Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification required.
• Maintains BLS, NRP and Certificate of Authority.
• Minimum of two years recent and relevant NNP experience highly preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills; Knowledge of Certificate to Prescribe; Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities; Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary or acute healthcare services for neonatal patients in accordance with scope and practice.
• Cover 12-24 hour shifts at Mount Carmel East on a PRN basis.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The NNP provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

The selected NNP will be PRN and cover 12-24-hour shifts at Mount Carmel East.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing; Preferred Masters Degree; Graduate of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program.
