The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is a clinician with advanced academic preparation and clinical expertise in neonatal care. The scope of practice reflects the education, training, and experience of the clinician in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Care is delivered through a collaborative healthcare model involving physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to neonatal care. The NNP provides clinical leadership through direct patient care, consultation, education, research, and professional development activities.
