Job summary

CommonSpirit Health’s Neonatal Nurse Practitioner role in Omaha covers multiple campuses within the Women’s Health Division, focusing on high-risk infants and their families. The NNP works through a collaborative interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive neonatal care.

Experience is welcomed but not required as the role emphasizes compassionate, expert care. It is a full-time (.9 FTE) position with 12- and 24-hour shifts across Level II and III NICUs, initially based on Creighton

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from accredited program.
• Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required.
• Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted licence in Nebraska.
• BLS, PALS and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting.
• Take medical histories and perform complete physical examinations.
• Order and monitor labs, radiology tests, and other evaluations.
• Perform routine and credentialed procedures; may prescribe medications.
• Participate in medical rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff.
• Educate families about disease, treatments, side effects and follow-up.
• Refer patients to specialists as appropriate.

Active Nebraska RN license / unrestricted license in Nebraska
