Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) is required.
• APRN Florida license in good standing with Neonatal NP certification.
• NRP and BLS active and in good standing throughout employment.
• Level II Background Check completed.
• 2 years of NNP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses medical and surgical problems of high risk newborn.
• Works variable shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Develops, implements, evaluates, monitors, manages, and modifies a plan of care.
• Ensures plan of care guides interdisciplinary team toward outcomes.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning patient care.
• Contributes to peer development to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensures care appropriate to developmental level of patient.
• Generates and integrates data to initiate orders and treatments.
• Maintains current expertise and skills for high-quality clinical performance.
• Models professional communication within the interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in patient care including daily progress notes and discharge planning.
• Writes orders and monitors drug therapies in collaboration with physicians.
