Job summary

Connecticut Children's in Hartford is seeking an experienced, full-time neonatologist to join their Level IV NICUs. The ideal candidate will have an M.D. or D.O. degree and be board eligible or certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing treatment plans, documentation, and teaching medical students. Connecticut Children's is expanding its facilities with a new single-room tower, enhancing capacity for patient care.

Qualifications

• Active CT Physician license.
• Active DEA.
• Board eligible or certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of patients by obtaining a comprehensive history.
• Examine patients to obtain objective physical data and supporting information.
• Formulate a differential diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of patient interventions.
• Collaborate with nursing and administration in matters affecting patient care.
• Ensure the protection of patient rights and adherence to HIPAA.
• Ensure appropriate handoff communications.
• Responsible for teaching medical students and residents.
• Initiate and/or participate in research or scholarly activities.
