Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
• RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
• Minimum 1 year Direct patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes – Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
• Provides relationship-based patient-centered care reflecting diverse populations and cultures.
• Partners with patients and families, updating them on goals and planning care accordingly.
• Practices using current clinical standards.
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe, high-quality patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Promotes teamwork, fiscal responsibility and recruitment/retention of staff.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance at all levels.
• Completes professional competency assessment and mandatory education.
• Serves as a preceptor/mentor for staff and students to ensure future qualified workforce.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and research in nursing and quality improvement.
• Ensures compliance with policies, standards, and safety goals.
• Plans for care across the continuum and helps develop protocols with care managers.
