Job summary

The UCSF Health, AG Neonatal Imaging Lab is seeking a Staff Research Associate to assist MR/MRS/MRI imaging scans for neonatal brain studies and to support data collection, storage, and analyses. The role also includes administrative duties to ensure smooth lab operations.

You will help with lab organization, order placement, and routine maintenance of equipment, contributing to collaborative projects and ensuring data integrity in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in biological/related science or equivalent education/experience
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and database experience
• Demonstrated reliability and excellent attendance
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; good interpersonal skills
• Basic related scientific techniques, procedures and safety learned in lab or field experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; familiarity with medical imaging and image processing

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging scans (MR/MRS/MRI) in a hospital setting
• Support data collection and storage; aid collaborators with data analyses
• Provide administrative support to lab operations and order placement
• Participate in general care and maintenance of lab equipment
• Help with lab organization and smooth operation of the lab
