NeoCognition is seeking a Member of Technical Staff [Product/Agent] in Palo Alto to transform research into user-facing products and developer tools across backend APIs, data infra, frontend interfaces, and SDKs.

You will collaborate with researchers, platform engineers, and UX researchers to translate cutting-edge research into robust, scalable features and developer-facing abstractions, with an in-person five-day workweek in Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years as a product engineer building AI applications and agents.
• Full-stack range: backend APIs, data infrastructure, front-end interfaces, SDKs.
• Python and TypeScript/JavaScript proficiency.

Compensation: $200,000-$300,000 base + competitive equity.

Location: Palo Alto, CA - in person 5 days/week. Visa: open to transfers (OPT, H1B).

About this role

As a Member of Technical Staff [Product/Agent] at NeoCognition, you'll be one of the founding engineers transforming research into real, user-facing products and developer experiences, working across the full stack (backend APIs, data infrastructure, front-end interfaces, SDKs) to make LLM agent research usable and impactful. You'll collaborate closely with research scientists, platform engineers and UX researchers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-ready applications and developer tools, including web apps, APIs, SDKs, and internal libraries

• Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and prototype to launch, iteration, and user feedback

• Translate cutting-edge research outputs into robust, usable product features and developer-facing abstractions

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and scalability of systems as usage grows

• Collaborate across research, design, and infrastructure teams to align product goals with technical feasibility

• Define and uphold engineering excellence: testing, CI/CD, documentation, and deployment best practices

• Build tools and abstractions that make it easier for internal teams and external developers to leverage the AI systems
