Job summary

Bestcare Express Inc. is seeking full-time drivers to transport clients to medical appointments and other engagements in our non-emergency transport fleet.

Many clients are disabled and may require wheelchair or gurney assistance; you will provide safe, compassionate service. You will inspect vehicles, follow traffic rules, complete trip documentation, and communicate with Dispatch while upholding safety and COVID protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Ability to pass alcohol & drug test.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training.
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical.
• Positive attitude, good communication, empathetic and polite.
• Past NEMT Driver experience is a plus, but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to medical appointments in safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles before shift (fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, steering) and report defects.
• Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Complete trip documentation (mainly via phone applications).
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation
• Communicate with Dispatch.
• Follow safety and COVID protocols
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations

Bestcare Express Inc. is a non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company that has been proudly serving for over 40 years. BCE is looking for full-time drivers to transport clients to and from medical appointments and other engagements. Many of our clients are disabled and may need to be transported by wheelchair or gurney.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport patients to various locations in our medical transport vehicles in a safe efficient and timely manner.
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely. Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs.
• Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Complete trip documentation (mainly via phone applications).
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation
• Communicate with Dispatch.
• Follow safety and COVID protocols
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations
