Mid-City CAN is seeking Neighborhood Captain / Campaign Canvasser - Promotore in San Diego, CA for a part-time seasonal role. You will participate in direct home-to-home outreach, door-knocking, phone-banking, texting, and community events as part of a 10-12 person team.

Responsibilities include engaging residents, following scripts, attending trainings, and supporting Get Out the Vote efforts for the 2026 General Election from Oct 11 to Nov 3, 2026. In-person work required.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of outreach or phone-banking and familiarity with community engagement.
• Bilingual abilities preferred (Spanish, Somali, Swahili, Arabic, Vietnamese, or other).
• Passion for social justice and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to in-person work and adherence to safety protocols.

Aufgaben

• Campaign to engage community members in public participation and voting.
• Attend trainings and continually improve canvassing outreach skills.
• Go door-to-door, phone-bank, text, and participate in community events.
• Maintain a positive attitude and meet daily contact targets.
• Submit completed forms timely and wear provided uniform and PPE.
