Job summary

Valdese Weavers is seeking a Finishing Operator in Valdese, NC to operate a needlepunch machine and support finishing activities. You will follow ISO 9001 work instructions, set up equipment, monitor quality, and maintain records while collaborating with the Finishing Team.

The role requires basic literacy, math skills, and computer familiarity, with physical work including moving cloth buggies and standing for shifts. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and do basic math.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Good hand-eye coordination for needle work.
• Good physical condition for pushing and doffing buggies of cloth.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate needlepunch machine following approved work instructions.
• Sew cloth requiring needlepunch finish together and ensure matching identifying information.
• Maintain assigned equipment and clean according to schedule.
• Monitor fabric and equipment to ensure quality at every step of the needlepunch process.
• Keep appropriate records and report problems to supervisor.
