  • Follow all safety rules and site protocols.
  • Perform general labor duties such as rigging, lifting and setting up access equipment.

Position Overview

TEAM is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support our certified technicians in the delivery of nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. This role is a critical first step in developing a rewarding career in the field of asset integrity and inspection. The successful candidate will play an active part in ensuring safety, support, and operational excellence for TEAM's inspection and testing operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT, etc.) in accordance with TEAM and client procedures.
  • Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
  • Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing (where applicable).
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites, maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
  • Ensure all tools and work areas are cleaned and maintained.
  • Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
  • Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
  • Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools/equipment.

  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits investigations.

Work Conditions
  • Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Able to wear safety equipment for any task and as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
