Job summary

Rocketdyne in Redmond, WA is seeking a Level 2 Non-Destructive Test Technician with RT and PT expertise for the 2nd shift. You will perform RT and PT inspections on parts to ensure compliance with engineering, customer, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, documenting results, supporting production and engineering teams, and guiding Level 1 technicians as needed. Qualifications include NAS 410 familiarity and 2+ years in NDT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass Level II Examinations in RT and PT; NAS410 desired.
• Knowledge of GTAW, GMAW, EBW welding in aerospace environments.
• Minimum 2 years of NDT experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, procedures.
• Working knowledge of NDT standards and acceptance criteria.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PPT.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually

We are seeking a Level 2 Non-Destructive Test Technician with experience in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) to join our team. In this role, you will perform inspections on parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering, customer, and quality requirements.

Essential Functions

• Perform Level 2 NDT inspections using RT and PT methods
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results to applicable standards and acceptance criteria
• Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment
• Prepare and process parts for inspection
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
• Identify and report nonconforming material or product conditions
• Follow all applicable safety requirements, including radiation safety and chemical handling procedures
• Support production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve inspection-related issues
• Assist with training or guiding Level 1 technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Qualified and able to pass Level II Examinations in RT, PT, (NAS410 Certification Desired).
• Must be knowledgeable with GTAW, GMAW, and EBW welding processes used in an aerospace environment.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of theory, methods and procedures for qualifying NDT disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of NDT experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and written procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable NDT standards and acceptance criteria
• Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to useMS Word, Excel, PPT
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with NAS 410, ASNT, or related industry standards
• Experience with digital, computed Tomography, or computed radiography
• Additional NDT certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or inspection environment
• Visual acuity and color differentiation as required for inspection work
• Ability to wear required PPE and safety monitoring devices

This position works in a manufacturing and inspection environment and may involve exposure to industrial equipment, penetrant materials, and radiographic inspection areas. Strict adherence to safety procedures is required.
