Job summary

Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced NDT/QA professional for a 100% onsite role in California. Primary duties include hands-on nondestructive testing, adherence to AS9100, and maintaining aircraft logs per 4790.2.

Requires US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance; travel up to 25% may be required. The candidate should have NAS 410 MAUS and ECT certifications, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a strong background in aerospace maintenance, inspections, and quality

Job description

• This is a 100% onsite position at one of the designated work locations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• An active U.S. Secret Clearance is required prior to start.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as business and mission requirements dictate.

Required Qualifications

• Current NAS 410 certification in Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS).
• Current NAS 410 certification in Eddy Current Testing (ECT).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and Quality Inspection.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and practices.
• Ability to work flexible/variable shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in NDT, Inspection, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, combined with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting aircraft heavy maintenance operations.
• At least 5 years of experience maintaining F/A-18E/F aircraft, including aircraft logs and records in accordance with 4790.2 requirements.
• Strong knowledge of COMNAVAIRINST 4790.2 Series Quality Assurance programs, including Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and Tool Control.
• Extensive experience inspecting and working with composite materials and non-porous metals, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, aircraft schematics, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Hands-on experience using aircraft structural tools, including 45- and 90-degree drills, pancake adapters, countersink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
• Demonstrated experience performing heavy aircraft structural work, including locating, drilling, countersinking, and fastening components such as doublers, stringers, webs, and seat tracks.

Education & Experience Level

• Level 3: Typically requires an Associate degree or other advanced education with 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. A Bachelor's degree with approximately 3 years of relevant experience may also satisfy the requirement.
