Role Description The NDT Level II Technician (PT/MT/ET/UT, NAS 410) is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position is responsible for performing non-destructive tests such as penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), eddy current testing (ET), and ultrasonic testing (UT) on aircraft structures, components, and fuel systems. The technician will interpret indications, document results, and communicate findings to maintenance and structural repair teams to support safe and effective repairs. Daily activities include setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, following NAS 410 and company procedures, maintaining accurate inspection records, and supporting coordinated work with fuel tank and structural repair teams. The role also involves adhering to safety standards, participating in quality audits, and assisting with continuous improvement of NDT processes.

Qualifications

  • Certification as NDT Level II in PT, MT, ET, and UT, with documented training and experience in accordance with NAS 410 or equivalent aerospace NDT standard.
  • Proficiency in setting up, calibrating, and operating NDT equipment, and in interpreting, evaluating, and reporting inspection results for aircraft structures and components.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, structural components, and common defects (e.g., corrosion, cracking), with experience supporting fuel tank and airframe repairs.
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance practices, quality assurance procedures, and safety regulations relevant to NDT and structural repair operations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary repair teams in an on‑site hangar or shop environment.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, maintain detailed inspection records, and use basic computer systems for documentation and reporting.
  • High attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in all inspection activities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in NDT or aviation maintenance highly preferred.
